Minneola

Jump to search
A mandarin - grapefruit hybrid, and thus a member of the tangelo family. Bright orange minneolas are about the size of an orange but with a distinctive bulge at the stalk end.
They have fairly thick skin and are easy to peel, revealing a seedless fruit which is fairly sharp flavour and juicy flesh. They are used in the same way as an orange.
