Chef Joshua Hunter is the Chef Owner of Hawthorn in Kew Village as well as Executive Chef at restaurant Joshua Hunter at Holland & Holland. Josh has thirteen years’ experience in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Kitchen W8, Murano by Angela Hartnett, and La Trompette, as well as for celebrity private clients including the Beckham family and Tom Cruise. Focusing on modern European cuisine underpinned by an ethos of generosity, Joshua creates mouthwatering dishes of outstanding quality, taking inspiration from fresh, seasonal ingredients. He creates dishes that prioritise flavour and combine his passion for British game and wild food – he simply wants to cook food people really want to eat. Hawthorn has received brilliant reviews from the likes of Grace Dent in the Guardian (who called it ‘one of the restaurants of the year’) and has been included in the Michelin Guide and The Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Local Restaurants less than a year after opening.
