Steven is best known for winning the 6th series of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2013 becoming one of the youngest ever winners of the competition at the age of 26.

Previous to MasterChef Steven trained with some of the country’s leading chefs including Raymond Blanc, Andrew McNaughton & Chris Wheeler before moving to Horsham in 2008 joining the brigade at South Lodge Hotel – a five star country house hotel in the heart of Sussex.

At the end of 2016 Steven found a permanent location for him to showcase his style. Located at 216 Church Road in Brighton & Hove etch. is a 12-table British tasting menu only restaurant.

Previously a bank the restaurant has a contemporary look with views of an open kitchen & bar, dark blue walls & modern art.

In March 2020 Steven opened his second restaurant, this time in London. Steven Edwards @ The Bingham Riverhouse is in the heart of Richmond overlooking the Thames and is the perfect location to show off Steven’s food. Different to etch. Steven has created an A la carte menu that is nostalgic, fun & have a real purity of flavour.
