Persimmon is resembling an orange tomato, with a brown calyx, persimmon have a sweet, smooth, honeyed flesh.

Add to fruit salads, purees and use in smoothies, ices or mousses. Choose ripe persimmons which are soft and swollen looking as underripe fruits are acidic and bitter.
