Parsnip are a large tapering root vegetable is creamy in colour with a distinctive sweet earthy flavour and texture.

Parsnips are great roasted accompanying meat, they are a good winter vegetable that can be added to stews too. The colder weather turns more of the starch to sugar. Smaller parsnips are more tender.
