When Mangoes are at best they are arguably the finest of all of the exotic fruit.
Grown throughout the tropics they come in many different shapes and sizes. They might be large or small, green, yellow or red in colour. The texture varies too, from smooth, soft and buttery, to slightly fibrous. Mango is usually eaten raw, on its own, in salsas, fruit salads, tarts or desserts. it's also drunk in smoothies, and eaten in ices, sorbets and mousses. It's probably the most versatile of the exotic fruits.
