Brown Shallot

These small, golden brown skinned onions tend to grow in clusters and have a pale flesh and a finer flavour than a regular onion. The main bulb maybe made up of several smaller bulbs. Peel, chop finely and use in dressings and dishes such as sauces where you want to impart a finer onion flavour without having to use many onions. Can also be used roasted and whole, or peel them and caramelise.
