Guava is native to Central America and the West Indies, guavas are now grown throughout the tropics.
They vary in size, shape and colour and can be round or pear-shaped, with pale yellow to almost red skins and creamy or bright pink flesh with a sweet-sour aromatic flavour. Eat raw, add to fruit salads or puree to make a sauce.
