Navel orange

Navel orange is une of the most popular of the sweet oranges.

They are renowned for their sweet, intense flavour, lack of pips and thick easy to peel skins. They are distinctive as they have a slight bulge at the stem end, embedded into which is a baby fruit (the navel) which is usually discarded along with the peel. They make a good dessert fruit.
