Rambutan

Native to Malaysia and related to the Lychee, Rambutans are larger oval fruits with thick brown skins with hairy spines.

Inside is translucent, whitish flesh that has a sweet, floral, fragrant flesh. Inside the flesh is a long purple inedible stone. The flesh is eaten raw and can be used in fruit salads.
